The winter season has been a busy time as the re-skinning project on the first polyhouse tunnel at Solan is completed. The new Suntuf poly carbonate sheeting has replaced the celloclim plastic and we will be monitoring closely the performance of this throughout the next production season. It is planned the re-skinning will continue as a staged process across the entire facility over the next couple of years. The poly carbonate sheets allow more light to penetrate to the plants growing inside and offers a stronger external cladding in the face of extreme weather events.
Planting to the poly house of Crop 28 for the 2017-2018 production season commenced on the 25th August and will run through until the end of March 2018.
