Solan operates under the National Standard for Certification of Seed Potatoes as administered by AUSVEG and maintained by VICSPA and is accredited with Biosecurity South Australia Plant Health.

Our services offered include:

1. The importation of potato genetic material

2. Maintenance of potato variety germplasm in Solan’s Genetic Resource Centre as recognised by IP Australia

3. Conducting Plant Breeder Registration work Part 1 and Part 2

4. Production of high quality disease free (Generation Zero) mini tubers from cultivars held within Solan’s Genetic Resource Centre via Solan’s tissue culture laboratory through to the fully automated production nursery.

5. Storage of mini tubers within onsite controlled atmosphere cool store facility offering clients field ready mini tubers for planting.

Solan is very pleased to be able to share that it has been announced as a Finalist in the Service Provider Award Category in the SA Premier’s Food and Beverage Industry Awards 2022. It is a great achievement to be recognised at this level and we will update you with the category outcome to be announced at the Gala Dinner on November 11th 2022!
